Constitution

I. The Preamble of Asveora

Asveora is a social online network that operates on the model of a Decentralized Democratic Constitutional Republic (DDCR) and serves with the purpose of helping people become more technologically self-sustainable and independent while also combating the faults of centralized social media and late stage web 2. It has been built with the intent to generate authentic connections and discussions while cutting out all of the white noise and pandemonium that has become so common elsewhere over the internet. This constitution that you are now reading applies to your access to and use of Asveora and any virtual properties directly related to it. This constitution was drafted by the first declared federation of Asveora known as “Asveora Genesis”. This constitution is subject to amendment by the political power of the populace of Asveora.

II. Age of Citizenship

To become a citizen of Asveora you must be at least 16 years of age and meet the minimum age of digital consent in your country. If your country’s minimum age of digital consent is under 16, the declared minimum age of Asveora will be honored. If your country’s minimum age of digital consent is over 16 then it will be honored instead. Depending on the protocols and guidelines of different federations, systems, landhubs, communities or wheelcores you may need to be older so be sure to read all additional terms and requirements when navigating Asveora. If you are old enough in your country to become a member of Asveora, but not old enough to have authority to consent to the terms provided in this constitution, your parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf. Please ask your parent or guardian to read these terms with you. If you are a parent or legal guardian, and you allow your adolescent to use Asveora, then these terms also apply to you, and you are completely responsible for your adolescent’s activity within Asveora. If you are accepting these terms and engaging with Asveora on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to do so and have the authority to bind such entity to these terms, in which case the words “you” and “your” as used in these terms shall refer to such entity. In accordance with using Asveora, you understand and state that:

01. You are at least 16 years old and over the minimum age required by the laws of your country of residence to access and use Asveora.

III. Agreements & Obligations Within Asveora and Beyond

Asveora is an online social network that puts all of the choices and creative power in the hands of the user. This means that you will be accessing other services and tools in order to build the foundation of what will be your new digital home on the internet. You are expected to read and understand the terms and services of the following but not limited to: Your domain registrar, your matrix homeserver, your file hosting service, and any other entities that you engage with. In addition, every federation, system, landhub, community, and wheelcore has their own policies so make sure to read and understand those policies as you are bound to them if you engage with those entities. All federations, systems, landing hubs, and wheels agree to this constitution in being a part of Asveora.

IV. Privacy & Security

Asveora is committed to ensuring privacy and security through transparency and education. Asveora does not collect, use, nor share the information about you when you access or use its network and it severely discourages anyone attempting to do such. There is no long-winded privacy policy here to read but instead here are some crucial notes about security and safety in Asveora.

01. Create strong passwords for the means by which you will access Asveora. Use a strong mix of characters and symbols that will not be easily brute forced or guessable by malicious figures. The more complex and unique your password is, the better.

02. Do not share your passwords with anyone else aside from yourself and yourself alone.

03. Make sure that your passwords are stored securely inside of an encrypted file on your choice of digital hardware or service. Never store your passwords in your e-mail, a personal diary, or in other insecure locations.

04. Never give out your e-mail address, phone number, home address, and other sensitive information.

05. Read the terms and conditions of every tool and service that is external to Asveora. Read their policies to ensure that they are respecting your privacy and security in full.

06. Never enter your financial or personal information on a website that is not secure. Always look for “https://” and a padlock icon in your web browser’s address bar. And even then, you may be required to vet the website yourself to make sure that it is not a phishing pond disguised as a secure website.

07. Never click suspicious web links or shortened web links and do not accept cookies from websites that you are not familiar with. Always run shortened or sketchy web links through trusted link checking services or use the built in developer tools of your web browser to inspect the link for anything out of the ordinary.

08. Do not share your IP address, MAC address, or device ID with anyone.

09. If you suspect that your financial information has been stolen, immediately contact your bank.

10. If you suspect that your IP address has been leaked in some form, immediately obtain a new one.

11. Do not ever trust insecure public WiFi networks. Always make sure they are secured in some form.

12. Be conscious of and actively manage your personal data wherever you go.

13. Enable multi-factor authentication whenever it is available.

14. Use a reputable VPN service to keep your IP address safe and sound.

15. Never provide links to sources where your personal information may be visible. Always disclose the privacy and security policies of the links to materials and sites that you may share.

16. No one from Asveora will ever ask you for your e-mail address, phone number, home address, device serial number, IP address, MAC address, credit card, driver’s license, or any other form of personal or critical data. There are no official offices or employees of Asveora, so if anyone contacts you posing as an employee of Asveora and asks for sensitive information, immediately report them to the support and assistance channels of whatever wheelcore, landhub, system, and or federation that you are a part of. If anyone asks for your sensitive information or is devising ways to aggregate data of you and others within the network, be sure to report them as well. Asveora is dedicated to security, trust, and integrity.

V. Once Free Always Free

Asveora was made by the public for the public. You are not allowed to license, sell, transfer, assign, distribute, host, or use Asveora as a commercial exploit. If someone is telling you that you need to buy a license or sign up for a subscription to join Asveora, immediately take note and try to report it within Asveora. Asveora will always be free to join and participate within as the network is entirely made up of and run by its members. Advertisements, micro-transactions, sketchy online marketplaces, and other monetary gimmicks or exploits will not be tolerated anywhere within the network. The network is entirely supported by those of who it is composed.

VI. You Are in Control

Your creations, your data, and the way in which you access Asveora is entirely placed under your control. No one owns your data, creations, or the ways in which you access Asveora except you and the services or tools you select to craft your experience. If you are having trouble with digital content theft of any kind, feel free to reach out to the wheelcore, landhub, system, and or federation that you are a part of. If you are a part of a wheelcore, landhub, system, or federation that does not serve you well, you are always free to either start your own or join a different one. Asveora has no legal right to your data nor your content and will never claim ownership of either at any point.

VII. Human Rights Statement

Asveora stands for the mutual respect and care for all humans no matter their sex, gender, race, religion, geography, language, national origin, social origin, and other identifying characteristics. It does not and will not tolerate sexism, racism, transphobia, xenophobia, homophobia, discriminatory language, discriminatory behavior, slurs, hate-speech, and other forms of hate, discrimination, or prejudice from any individual or entity towards another individual or entity for any reason.

VIII. Democratic Rights and Network Removals

Asveora is built upon the model of a Decentralized Democratic Constitutional Republic (DDCR). This means that the executive direction is determined through the political discourse and voting abilities of the members of Asveora whether it be in a wheelcore, landhub, system, or a federation. Every member of Asveora has a right to due process and the proceedings for any administrative discipline will follow the outcomes of the court cases. Plaintiffs, defendants, witnesses, recorders, and juries will be present for every case that arises in Asveora. The legislative and legal matters of Asveora are not to be conflated nor confused with the legal systems of real world countries. For instance, if a user breaches their agreement to the constitution of Asveora but breaks no laws of their country or international laws, they may be removed from Asveora but may not be in real life legal trouble. If a user breaches their agreement to the constitution of Asveora which involves them breaking the laws of their country or international laws, they may be removed from Asveora and subsequently reported to the appropriate agencies. Every Asveora member is gifted with the right to vote unless they are on trial within the network. Network removals are a highly unlikely occurrence and would be decided by a network wide vote that would mirror the proceedings of a country’s supreme court. This is being noted here because if you are removed from Asveora, you might have more pressing problems on your hands to worry about than just being removed from the network. Just as with other executive actions, network removals can be appealed, but the process may take a substantial amount of time. However you most likely will never have to worry about such happening if you follow the laws of your country and the constitution of Asveora.

IX. Prohibition of Disruptive Organization (AMD 0001)

Asveorans may not engage in, promote, or create the following: Brigades, political gladiatorism, reaction boards, astroturfing, recruitment / raising internet armies, unsolicited services, shock content, flash mobs, using Asveora to incite unrest, using Asveora to declare war other entities (whether physical or virtual), planning of raids, extremist content, executing raids, spamming, swatting, political interest groups, knee-jerk parties, doxxing (this includes the compilation of public information for malicious purposes), ironic meme communities, confirmation forums, drama hubs, free-speech rooms, peanut gallery theaters, and any other mechanism that created in order to bring about division, distress, or antisocial behavior.

X. Transfer and Backup of Communications Profile (AMD 0002)

In the case of the matrix protocol and similar chat protocols, Asveorans may transfer homeservers or create backup presences on other homeservers as long as they employ their verified APC (Asveora Profile Code) which will serve as the key for re-authentication when adding backup presences into the network or making transfers. Asveorans may not pair an APC with more than one APA (Asveora Profile Address) as it will may risk invalidating their AUID (Asveora User ID) or causing conflicts in the network’s logs. When a homeserver transfer is happening or a backup is being created, the Asveoran must show proof of authorship in the scanning process by adding the homeserver details to their profile space for the designated period of time as per given instruction.

XI. Liability Disclaimer

Asveora is not liable for you nor is it responsible for your data. You are responsible for yourself and your data at all times. If something is concerning you, never hesitate to speak up and seek out the proper assistance. While Asveora is not liable for you, the network is akin to a family as citizens are committed and expected to be committed to looking out for the health and safety of one another at all times.
